They are preliminarily titled " The Liar of Partinel " and " The Lightweaver of Rens ". The first one, and perhaps the second one as well are set before the Shattering of Adonalsium. Brandon will not show anyone these books, and I don't think he's even written them both.

In 2007, before the Wheel of Time hit Brandon, he was working on a book called The Liar of Partinel. Apparently, it didn't go very well. But he did post a few sample chapters up. In the first segment, Midius's mentor, Hoid, died. Midius actually takes that name from the original Hoid, then. Brandon has confirmed a while back that Hoid is Midius.

The Liar of Partinel was part of a two-part story told hundreds of years before the Dragonsteel epic. However, since I've dropped plans to go with Liar anytime soonโA Memory of Light has priority, followed by Way of KingsโI don't know what I'll end up doing with the second book, or if I'll ever even write it. I was planning on not calling.
